God's Word and Truth Has Been Preserved
Preservation - The Past
How God's Word Had Been Preserved
God not only supernaturally inspired His Word using human hands, but He also supernaturally preserved His Word using human hands. The Old Testament books were developed through Jewish communities, while the New Testament books were written by eyewitness accounts of Jesus life. Together they reveal the complete history of humanity from our origins, to our sin problem and Jesus' complete solution. The consistent symmetry within the 66 books of the Bible speak to the transcendent preservation plan for Scripture. Consider the following verses describing the pure and eternal nature of God's Word.
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
Psalm 12:6
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge, but He overthrows the words of the treacherous man.
Proverbs 22:12
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
2 Timothy 3:16
God does not ask us to believe blindly. He asks us to taste and see that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8). He calls us to have a high view of the Word of God and recognise that God does not make mistakThe more one plumbs the depths of the Scriptures, the more one sees just how well they have been accurately preserved. The decentralised development of a consistent message for all the world is but one more evidence for the supernatural hand guiding this revelation. The Museum of the Bible has produced the following video to show how individual books were preserved and brought together into the received Bible.
Preservation - The Future
Preserving God's Word for the Future
Past generations have faithfully preserved and passed on to us their gathered wisdom. This can be seen in the historical reverence and provided to the Scriptures and the those who teach from them. If that accepted truth is lost, then society risks revert to primitive times with chaos reigning. We must call Christian ministers back to the faithful proclamation of truth across all avenues of life.
For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 2:7
Past generations have faithfully preserved and passed on to us their gathered wisdom. This can be seen in the historical reverence and provided to the Scriptures and the those who teach from them. If that accepted truth is lost, then society risks reverting to primitive times with chaos reigning. Even today, artificial intelligence is being primed to unilaterally rewrite the Bible. The Applied Christianity Project is sounding a warning on the dangers of centralised control and planning. That is why this Project is developed as 100% AI free. We encourage all believers to find and use a hardcopy version of the Scriptures. We also make a downloadable copy of the Scripture available which you can preserve offline from unilateral changes with the cloud.
